Zurich, 15th of May 2018, this year’s 2018 Best Workplaces in Europe create inclusive workplaces where employees feel proud of their accomplishments and create strong bonds with colleagues and leaders while achieving business goals.
Switzerland is successfully represented by 11 winning companies - including two Swiss companies and companies based in Switzerland for international companies. In all countries, the winning companies are considered particularly attractive employers who create and live a culture of trust.
All "Best Workplaces in Switzerland in 2018" companies, which are nationally labeled, had to "compete" with the European competition, with Great Place to Work® present in 18 other European countries.
More than 2,800 organizations participated in the survey process, representing the voices of more than 1.6 million employees across 19 countries. The 125 companies that make up the 2018 Best Workplaces in Europe list outshined the rest in their commitment to caring for their employees and providing environments where they can cultivate strong bonds. An impressive 93% of employees at this year’s best say that their company is a great place to work.
People at Europe’s Best feel that their workplaces are welcoming, caring, and friendly, and that they can bring their whole selves to work. Inclusion is part of these companies’ DNA, and 92% of employees feel that they are treated as full members of the team regardless of their position.
The 36 Best Workplaces in Switzerland were honored in Zurich in May this year. Among them, 11 Swiss winning companies have now been elected as "Best Workplaces in Europe 2018".

In the "Best Workplaces Europe - Multinationals" category, Switzerland is represented by eight companies: Cisco at rank 5, AbbVie n° 6, SAS Institute n° 7, Amgen n° 12, Bristol-Myers Squibb n° 14, DHL Express n° 18, Novo Nordisk n° 19, SC Johnson n° 22 and Phoenix Contact at Rank n° 25.
In the category "Companies with less than 50 employees Europe" Rackspace is No. 5.
In the category "Companies with more than 50 employees in Europe" UMB is in 6th place.

What distinguishes the Best Workplaces
Companies in which employees have a high level of trust, get in all countries better ratings from their employees. So, for a company that wants to be an attractive employer and stay that way, building the trust relationship in particular is essential.

About the Best Workplaces in Europe List
Great Place to Work® identifies the top organizations that create great workplaces in Europe through publishing the annual Best Workplaces in Europe list. The list recognizes companies in four size categories: Under 50 Employees, Small & Medium (50-500); Large (501+); and Multinational. To be considered for inclusion, companies must appear on one or more of our national lists in one of the 19 countries represented on the list and meet our minimum quantitative threshold on the Trust Index© survey.
