What defines us

Working at Salesforce presents the unique opportunity to learn from some of the most passionate and driven people in the industry, grow your career to new heights, and give back to the causes you care most about. We are we blazing new trails in enterprise software and we offer great pay and perks, but it doesn't end there.

When the company was founded, we wanted to make sure our employees would feel a sense of purpose beyond profit. To accomplish this, we created the 1-1-1 model where we give 1% of Salesforce’s equity, employee time, and product back into the communities where we live and work. We also inspire employees to give back by providing all employees with seven days of volunteer time off (VTO) per year to support nonprofits and causes they're passionate about.

What inspires us

At Salesforce, we empower our employees to find inspiration and deeper meaning in their work. We make an important commitment to be a different kind of company, where we take care of each other, have fun together, and work collaboratively with our customers, partners, and communities to make the world a better place. That’s part of our culture and expressed in our core values: trust, customer success, innovation, and equality. These aren't just words; our culture has been part of our company's DNA since its founding and brought to life by our employees every day.

We provide Salesforce employees myriad opportunities to have an impact on the company, our customers, partners, and their wider communities. We then connect the dots to demonstrate their impact. From volunteerism to pro bono work, from customer and partner engagement to talent development, we empower, motivate, and inspire employees.

Highlights from the measures taken

We believe that open communication is more important than ever when it comes to creating a great employee experience. Since March, the Salesforce Executive Leadership Team has hosted weekly, companywide All Hands Calls to share updates and answer questions from employees. The calls address employee concerns, what’s top of mind for our executives, and how we are supporting employees, customers, and our communities.

We also know that effective communication requires listening, so we opened up the lines of communication for employees to let us know how they are doing, what they need, and what their top concerns are through wellbeing surveys. These surveys encourage employees to stop, reflect, and help us understand the challenges they are facing and the support they need and have led to enhanced programs and benefits. The results are made available to everyone, enabling all employees to feel informed, connected, and help support one another.
